For Women Navigating Family Dynamics and Life Transitions
Are you a woman in your late 20s to early 30s, or in your 50s to 60s, balancing the complexities of family relationships, career demands, and personal growth? Do you find yourself feeling anxious, frustrated, or stuck in old family patterns? Perhaps you’re struggling to set boundaries, process childhood trauma, or simply make time for yourself amidst life’s many demands.
I see you—and I understand the challenges you’re facing. Many women like you are navigating the intersection of family dynamics, cultural expectations, and a desire for clarity and peace. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, worried about your future, or unsure how to move forward while honoring your values. But healing is possible.
I specialize in helping women from helping professions reclaim their peace, process family dynamics, and develop sustainable coping strategies. My warm, empathic, and conversational approach creates a therapeutic space where you’ll feel supported and validated. Together, we’ll work to uncover clarity, establish boundaries, and create a life where you feel at ease and capable of coping with whatever comes your way.
You don’t have to navigate this alone. In therapy, we’ll embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, honoring your past while building the tools to thrive in the present.
My Story
I’m Alyssa Casimiro, LCSW, a compassionate therapist dedicated to supporting women in their journeys of healing and growth. With over 11 years of experience, I’ve worked with individuals and families across the Bay Area, specializing in culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, focusing on creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Born to parents from Guam, I’m deeply connected to my Chamoru heritage and the values of family and community it instills. Raised in Southern California and now living on occupied Ohlone Land in the Bay Area, I strive to honor the historical context of the land and its communities by paying Shuumi Tax as a gesture of respect and solidarity.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University. My work centers on helping women process childhood trauma, navigate family dynamics, and reclaim their sense of self.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, spending time outdoors with my dog, exploring new books and podcasts, and connecting with my cultural roots. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward clarity, healing, and empowerment.
